I love the alchemy of pottery—the way a simple lump of earth becomes a vessel for stories, meals, or quiet reflection. Whether you're seeking functional pieces for your table or a custom commission that tells your story, I'm here to collaborate.

From Clay to Creation
Watch as I take you step-by-step through creating a handmade pottery piece in my Cape Town studio—from wedging the clay to the final glaze fire.
Key Stages in the Making:
- Wedging & Centering — Preparing the clay and centering it on the wheel for a strong, even form.
- Throwing — Shaping the vessel with mindful hands, letting the clay rise and open naturally.
- Trimming & Refining — Adding crisp foot rings and smooth surfaces once leather-hard.
- Drying & Bisque Firing — Slow drying to prevent cracks, followed by the first low-fire.
- Glazing — Hand-applying earthy glazes for unique texture and color.
- Final Firing — High-temperature kiln magic that brings the piece to life.
